How to determine if the model and size of the skeleton oil seal match?
1、 First, understand the three key dimensions of the skeleton oil seal model
All oil seals are labeled in this order:
Inner diameter d × Outer diameter D × Height H
Unit: mm (millimeter)
Example:
TC 40×62×12
=Inner diameter 40mm, outer diameter 62mm, height 12mm
As long as these three numbers match, they are basically a match.
2、 How to determine if the size matches?
1. Inner diameter d (shaft diameter)
Measure the diameter of the shaft neck
The inner diameter of the oil seal should be slightly smaller than the shaft diameter (interference fit)
The error is generally within ± 0.1~0.3mm, which is normal
Too large: Poor sealing → Oil leakage
Too small: unable to fit in, or may strain the lips
2. Outer diameter D (mounting hole)
Measure the inner diameter of the cavity hole
The outer diameter of the oil seal should be slightly larger than the hole in order to fit tightly and not rotate
Excessive outer diameter: unable to press in
Too small outer diameter: The oil seal will rotate inside the hole → oil leakage
3. Height H
Measure the dimensions of the installation slot
The height of the oil seal should match the depth of the groove, and should not be too high or too deep
Too high: deformation of the pressure cover → oil leakage
Too low: lip cannot touch the correct position → seal failure
3、 How to determine if the model structure matches?
Common models: TC, TB, TA, SC, VC, VB
TC: Inner skeleton, double lips, with springs → Most universal, used in 90% of scenarios
TB: Inner skeleton, single lip
TA: Outer skeleton
SC: Skeleton free
VC/VB: Commonly used for outer iron shell and mechanical gearbox
Key points of judgment:
Different structures cannot be interchanged
If the original car is TC, it needs to be used instead of TB
Cannot be replaced randomly with or without springs
4、 Three sentences to determine whether the speed is suitable for matching
Size matching: Inner diameter x Outer diameter x Height are all consistent
Structure: TC to TC, TB to TB, cannot be swapped randomly
Material: Oil resistant, temperature resistant, and suitable for working conditions
Meeting these three points is the matching oil seal.
5、 Simple troubleshooting mnemonic
Axial inner diameter, hole outer diameter, groove height
The model structure should be the same, and the material and working conditions should match
If all three are correct, it matches. If one is not correct, there must be oil leakage
