6371 brake caliper rubber parts (universal Wuling Zhiguang 6371/6376/6388/6390/6400 series), suitable for front wheel single piston floating calipers, with a standard size of 57mm piston cylinder diameter, is one of the commonly used brake caliper repair kits in the microvan market.
1、 Standard repair kit components (front wheels)
Piston main sealing ring (rectangular/square)
Size: Ø 57mm
Function: High pressure sealed brake fluid, providing piston return force to prevent drag braking
Failure: Oil leakage, brake softness, piston sticking
Piston dust cover (corrugated)
Function: Isolate sediment and water vapor, protect the piston and cylinder wall
Failure: rupture and ash ingress → piston strain, jamming, abnormal noise
Guide pin (sliding pin) dust cover+liner
Function: Protect the floating caliper guide pin, prevent corrosion (based on actual reports), and prevent sedimentation
Failure: Rusted guide pin → Brake pad eccentric wear, eccentric braking, wheel heating
2、 Material standards
Required: EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer Rubber)
Resistant to DOT3/DOT4 brake fluid, working temperature -40 ℃~135 ℃, aging resistance, non swelling
Compatible with Wuling Zhiguang original factory and reputable calipers such as ATE and TRW
Strictly prohibited: NBR (nitrile rubber)
Not resistant to synthetic brake fluid, prone to swelling, softening, and oil leakage, strictly prohibited for use in brake systems

4、 Common faults and signal replacement
Caliper oil leakage: there are yellow/red brake fluid traces on the wheel rim and chassis → the main sealing ring is damaged
Brake drag/unilateral heating: weak driving, tire overheating → aging of sealing ring, piston not returning to its original position
Abnormal noise, differential return: broken dust cover, rusted guide pin
Rubber aging: cracking, sticking, hardening, loss of elasticity → replace immediately
5、 Key installation points
Cleaning: Clean the cylinder body/piston with alcohol/brake fluid, and do not use gasoline or kerosene (which may damage the rubber)
Lubrication: Apply a thin layer of silicon-based brake grease during assembly, and do not use butter
Complete replacement: Replace the sealing ring, dust cover, and guide pin sleeve together to avoid rework
Exhaust: After replacement, thoroughly exhaust the air, test the braking force, return position, and whether there is dragging brake
