PTFE sealing ring

Polytetrafluoroethylene sealing ring, also known as PTFE sealing ring or PTFE sealing ring, is a high-performance and corrosion-resistant (based on actual reports) sealing component widely used in industries such as chemical, hydraulic, food, and pharmaceutical.

Performance Characteristics

Strong chemical stability, almost not corroded by any acidic, alkaline, or organic solvents (based on actual reports), with a wide range of applications.

Wide temperature resistance range, can be used for a long time from -200 ℃ to+260 ℃, with stable high and low temperature performance.

The friction coefficient is relatively low, with good self-lubricating properties, wear resistance (based on actual reports), non adhesion, and suitable for dynamic sealing applications.

Toxic testing, clean, non hygroscopic, not prone to aging, meets the requirements of food, medicine, and hygiene levels.

The disadvantage is poor elasticity, and pure materials are prone to cold flow creep under compression, so filling modification is often done.

Common types of modifications

Filling glass fiber: improving hardness, performance, and compressive strength.

Filled with carbon fiber: improves thermal conductivity, reduces creep, suitable for high-pressure reciprocating sealing.

Filling graphite/copper powder: The actual effect is mainly lubricity, suitable for oil-free lubrication conditions.

After modification, it is more suitable for dynamic sealing scenarios such as hydraulic cylinders, cylinders, and rotating shafts.

Pure polytetrafluoroethylene can be used for static sealing;

It is recommended to use filled modified PTFE or combination seals for dynamic sealing, high-pressure, and high-speed scenarios;

The precision and smoothness requirements for the mating surface are high, otherwise it is easy to affect the sealing effect.
