The caliper sealing ring is a rubber ring installed between the brake caliper piston and the cylinder body. It is a key sealing component in the brake system, directly determining whether the brake will leak oil, drag, or fail.

Seal brake fluid to protect brake pressure from leakage
When stepping on the brake, let the piston push out and press the brake pads tightly
Pull the piston back when releasing the brake to prevent the wheels from dragging and overheating

Common materials
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)
Commonly used in the factory, compatible with DOT3/4/5.1 brake fluid, with good cost-effectiveness.
FKM fluororubber
High temperature resistance (based on actual reports), relatively long service life, mostly used for performance cars, heavy loads, and modified calipers.
When do I need to change
Oil leakage or seepage at the caliper position
Soft brakes, one-sided heating, wheel dragging brake
Dismantling and repairing calipers, maintaining brakes, and replacing pistons
Cracking, swelling, hardening, and deformation of the rubber ring
Installation tips
Only use brake oil or one-on-one lubricating grease for lubrication
Cannot twist or cut, otherwise it will leak
It is recommended to replace the entire set with a new one upon disassembly and not reuse the old rubber ring
