Rubber oil seal

Rubber oil seal is an oil seal mainly made of rubber as the sealing material, and is also commonly referred to as an oil seal in daily life. It is mainly used for sealing lubricating oil in rotating shaft parts.

Common rubber materials

Nitrile rubber (NBR): commonly used, oil resistant, cost-effective, and mostly used in ordinary working conditions

Fluororubber (FKM): resistant to high temperatures (based on actual reports), oil, and chemical corrosion, used in engines and high-temperature equipment

Acrylic rubber (ACM): heat-resistant and oil resistant, commonly used in automotive and valve oil seals

Silicone: High temperature resistant (based on actual reports) but not oil resistant, mostly used for non oil seals

With metal skeleton: skeleton oil seal (inner skeleton, outer skeleton), good rigidity, not easy to deform

Skeleton free: Pure rubber oil seal, soft, mostly used for low-speed and simple sealing parts

Commonly used as rotary shaft seal oil for motors, reducers, water pumps, automotive engines, transmissions, construction machinery, and other applications.
